Hershel didn't know how he got dragged into things sometimes, that was basically the tagline of his life. He was forever the supporting role of someone who was a little bit mental telling him yes, this was a good idea so let's do it. He tried to say no sometimes, he really did, yet it always ended up with him even more involved in whatever nonsense they were pitching.
Guns, really Jake. He can't help but give Jake a long, maybe a little incredulous look as they reached this mystical, mysterious gun range. He opens his mouth, obviously wanting to say something to convince Jake this was a bit silly but shuts it instead. At least they were kind of bonding? Maybe he should have a more open mind, it wasn't like Jake seemed to know how normal days out worked.
"You know, we could always try fencing instead..." He offers a little hopefully, that was violent, right?
